Sometimes the problem is not a missing capability but a missing owner. Work is split across three suppliers and an internal team, each doing their part competently, with nobody accountable for whether the result functions. What constrains the engineering here
Accountability has to be real
Owning the outcome means owning the integration, the awkward interfaces and the schedule risk, not just the interesting engineering.
Existing suppliers stay
End-to-end rarely means starting over. It usually means working with what is already contracted while being answerable for the whole.
The unglamorous work decides it
Test fixtures, documentation, update paths and handover material determine whether a delivered system stays working after we leave.
Handover is part of delivery
A system your team cannot maintain has not been delivered, whatever the acceptance certificate says.
Where our scope ends
We are a small specialist team, not a large systems house. If a programme needs thirty people on site, we are the wrong shape for it and will say so early rather than late.
