We research deployable infrastructure for the quantum era — focusing on the integration, control, and operational layers that connect quantum photonic hardware to real-world networking environments. Our active research direction, Q-Bridge, is a deployable photonic edge-control sub-system designed to bridge quantum photonic components and operational telecom and secure-communications infrastructure. Currently at early research maturity (TRL 3), Q-Bridge reflects our belief that the commercial quantum future depends not only on quantum hardware, but on the deployable systems that make it usable.
Photonic Integrated Circuits
Photonics underpins the future of high-speed sensing, communications, and computing. DevSpark brings hands-on photonics research experience — including optical systems, LiDAR, and laser-based measurement — to the engineering of photonic-integrated and optically-enabled systems. We help organisations move photonic concepts from the optical bench toward integrated, deployable platforms.
FPGA & Reconfigurable Hardware
FPGAs sit at the heart of high-performance, low-latency, and deterministic systems. DevSpark designs and develops FPGA-based solutions in VHDL for signal processing, real-time control, and hardware acceleration — enabling demanding applications across industrial, medical, and communications domains where timing and reliability are critical.
